About the University

Anglia Ruskin University is a public university founded in 1858 as Cambridge School of Art until it became a university in 1992. Housing 40,000 students worldwide across multiple campuses located in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and London. Also housing 5000 postgraduate students, the university has four main faculties of study: Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care and Faculty of Science & Engineering. The university boasts faculties with state-of-art facilities that provide undergraduates with enhanced learning opportunities. Postgraduate students and PhD students also have the chance to participate in the universities research institutes including Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research, Global Sustainability Institute, Policing Institute for the Eastern Region, Positive Ageing Research Institute, StoryLab Research Institute, Veterans and Families Research Institute and Vision and Eye Research Institute.

Accomodation

There is a large selection of accommodation offers available at Anglia Ruskin University that you can choose from. As an undergraduate or international student you will have priority for a place in the accommodation provided by the university for your first year of study:

  • 3 on-campus, 1 next-to-campus and 6 off-campus housing accommodations including single bedrooms, twin bedrooms and en-suite bedrooms to choose from.
  • Accommodation fees range from £93-£200 per week for 17-51 weeks weeks.
  • Each housing accommodation offers different local facilities and student attractions including shops, restaurants and entertainment.

International Student - Finance

Anglia Ruskin University boasts a ‘fixed fee structure’ meaning any new international  undergraduate (excluding medicine) and postgraduate research students commencing in 2020/21 are charged the same tuition fee for each year.

  • International students are required to pay a deposit of £4,000 towards your tuition fees. 
  • A foundation year from entry via pathway provider costs £7,500.
  • An undergraduate course costs £13,500 a year for international students.
  • A postgraduate taught course costs £13,500 – £16,200 a year for international students. £13,500 for research course.

For any student that has had their education disrupted or have no recognizable qualifications however meet the minimum English requirements of IELT 5.5 and required Maths skills you may still be eligible to progress onto university.
