About the University

The Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is a public further and higher education university founded in 1880. Its specializes in art, performance, design and media. The university accommodates over 3400 students with 150 being postgraduates.  The institute was also awarded a Gold in 2017 by the Teaching Excellence Framework indicated a high quality of education in the Arts. The university is divided into the following faculties; Faculty of Media & Performance and Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture. The Arts University Bournemouth also houses the Bournemouth Film School which was established in 1963 offering a variety of courses ranging from Film Production, Animation Production, Acting, Costume Design and Creative Writing.

Accomodation

There is a large selection of accommodation offers available at The Arts University Bournemouth that you can choose from. As an undergraduate or international student you will have priority for a place in the accommodation provided by the university for your first year of study:

  • Priority accommodation for undergraduate students however limited on demand basis. A great range of halls of residence located in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth town centre
  • Halls of residence: Madeia Road, Bath Road, Skyline, Oxford Point and Campus Halls
  • Accommodation fees range from £155-£215 per week for 41-51 weeks.

International Student - Finance

The Arts University Bournemouth does ‘fixed fee structure’ meaning any new international  undergraduate (excluding medicine) and postgraduate research students commencing in 2020/21 are charged the same tuition fee for each year.

  • Foundation courses tuition fee cost £13,250 with £140 registration fee.
  • Undergraduate courses tuition fee cost £16,950.
  • Postgraduate course tuition fee cost £18,500 or £20,110 for MPhil/PhD.

For any student that has had their education disrupted or have no recognizable qualifications however meet the minimum English requirements of IELT 5.5 and required Maths skills you may still be eligible to progress onto university. If you are student from a financial background that cannot support your education at the University of interest, you can apply for scholarships.
