About the University

University of Hull is a public research university founded in 1927 as University College Hull until it became a university 1954. The university accommodates over 16,000 students with 3,000 being postgraduates.

Accomodation

There is a large selection of accommodation offers available at University of Hull that you can choose from. As an undergraduate or international student you will have priority for a place in the accommodation provided by the university for your first year of study:

  • Options of single, shared, en-suite and studio rooms at Westfield Court, The Courtyard and Taylor Court. No deposit fees on all accommodation.
  • Accommodation fees range from £125-£210 per week for 41-51 weeks.
  • Each housing accommodation offers different local university facilities such as study spaces, bike storage, laundry rooms and vending machines. All bills are included in the rent.

International Student - Finance

University of Hull boasts a ‘fixed fee structure’ meaning any new international  undergraduate (excluding medicine) and postgraduate research students commencing in 2020/21 are charged the same tuition fee for each year.

  • International students on an undergraduate course pays 50% of tuition fees on enrolment and then 25% on jan/apr 2021. However for postgraduate courses, the payment percentages become 34% on enrolment and 33% respectively.
  • Undergraduate course tuition fees cost £14,500 for arts programmes and £17,200 for science courses per year.
  • Placement year costs 50% of the annual fee.
  • Postgraduate course tuition fees cost between £14,500 – £17,200 per year.

Pathway Providers

For any student that has had their education disrupted or have no recognizable qualifications however meet the minimum English requirements of IELT 5.5 and required Maths skills you may still be eligible to progress onto university. Scholarships
